ABBADIA SAN SALVATORE MINE, MONTE AMIATA, SIENA, ITALY - A quite large and heavy specimen mostly composed by cinnabar. The whole rock is covered by tiny, brilliant red crystals of cinnabar. Not easy to find such large old timer specimen from this well known locality ! The whole rock is 7.5x6x4 cm in size.

SAN FILIPPO MINE, MONTE AMIATA, SIENA, ITALY - An old timer. This specimen is from an old collection. It has been found in 1978 and shows a large nodule of cinnabar (6x6 cm in size) with a great abundance of tiny/micro crystals. There are also small schalenoedric crystals of calcite. Quite heavy rock ! overall size is 12x10x7 cm. Old labels also.
Cozzodisi mine, Agrigento, Sicily - Nice, even if small in size, this rock shows 4 terminated crystals, the biggest is around 1.2 cm, with a good looking yellow color. Overall size is 5x4x4 cm.
