Beni Bouzra, Chefchaouen Province, Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima Region, Morocco - Morocco has recently offered a nice variety of elbaite crystals on matrix. Here we have a specimen hosting several red elbaites, var rubellite. The main one is terminated and 1.4 cm in size ! all around there are several other elbaites and some of them are terminated or some other recrystallized. Nice quartz points also, up to 1.5-2 cm in size and biterminated. There is hyalite coating on some crystals. Overall size is 5.8x3.5x3.5 cm. Weight is 80 gr.

This an uncommonn salt that usually shows in small crystals. From this mine large crystals, often grouped in clusters have been found. This specimen shows a large Coquimbite crystal 2x2 cm in size ! very large for the species and for the locality . The color is the classic violet. Overall size is 5x 3 x 2.5 cm. Weight is 30 gr.
