San Piero, Isola Elba, Livorno, Italy - A classic specimen from the pegmatite areas of San Piero.This specimen has an open cavity with a some large orthoclase crystals up to almopst 3 cm on the edge. All around there are quartz crystals and a number of terminated schorl crystals to the size of 0.5 cm. The specimen is very representative of the pockets that can be found in the pegmatites areas of San Piero ! overall size is 13x9.5x5.5 cm.

MONTE FICO, RIO MARINA, ISOLA ELBA, LIVORNO, ITALY - This specimen shows several ilvaite crystals nested among quartz crystals. The ilvites are up to 2.5 cm in size with perfect terminations and I count half a dozens terminated crystals here ! Overall size is 7.5x3.5x3 cm. The specimen has been cleaned and polished from oxidations.

BOTTINO MINE, SERAVEZZA, CARRARA, ITALY - This mine was famous for great association of different minerals. From this mine great specimens of acicular boulangerite were found. Nowadays the mine is defunct and this is one of those hystorical and rare to find specimens ! there is a great coverage of boulangerite on qurtzite matrix. Overall size is 8x5x3.5 cm

FILONE DEI PASTORI, SANT ILARIO, ISOLA ELBA, LIVORNO, ITALY - This locality has been worked in 2004 and now is exhausted. It produced interesting specimens, such as helvite and morganite crystals. This specimen hosts a terminated bicolor elbaite of 0.6 cm. There is an other similar elbaite partly hidden below a quartz crystal. All around there various quartz and feldspar crystals. Overall size is 5x4x3 cm.

PORTICCIOLO, RIO MARINA, ISOLA ELBA, ITALY - Nice coating of prasio quartz on a crystalline hedembergite matrix. The prasio crystals have a nice green color and are up to 1.5-1.7 cm in size. Overall soze of this specimen is 8.5x6.5x4.5 cm.

LA FACCIATA QUARRY, APUANE ALPS, CARRARA, ITALY - Classic specimen from Apuane Alps ! There is a biterminates quartz crystals of 0.9 cm in size ! There are some other 2-3  mm quartz crystals around a nd a lot of tiny dolomite crystals. Overall size is 6.5x6x5 cm.

Gorgolinato, Sant Ilario, Isola Elba, Livorno, Italy - An old classic. Gorgolinato is an old area that produced a number of fine schorl and beryl crystals. This specimen hosts several bright terminated schorls up to 0.5 cm all around various quartz and feldspars. Nice rock of 3.5x3x2 cm

Grotta d'Oggi, San Piero, Isola Elba, Livorno, Italy - An old and very peculiar specimen since there are several 2-4 mm spessartines located on the faces of the feldspar crystals partly covered by waterclear quartz crystals. Nice specimen of 4.5x2.5x2.5 cm in size

POLLONE MINE, LUCCA, ITALY - A classic from this famous Italian mine. The specimen is composed by crystalline quartx matrix with a well exposed terminated lightly smoky quartz crystal up to 2.7 cm in size. There are some other smaller quartzes with some sulfides coating on some faces. There is also a well defined and terminated white baryte crystal of 1.5 cm in size. Overall size is 6.5x5x4 cm. Weight is 95 gr.

ZOGNO MINE, VAL BREMBANA, BERGAMO, ITALY - This mine is very famous for the well shaped violet fluorite cubes that produced in the past. Now the mine is closed. This specimen is from an old collection. The specimen hosts violet fluorite cube of fluorite of 1 cm on the edge and has etching on one corner on the back. The fluorite sits on a carpet of tint waterclear quartz crystals. Overall size is 9x5.5x3.5 cm. Weight is 200 gr.
