Faiallo Pass, Urbe, Savona Province, Liguria, Italy - A classic finding from the ligurian rodingites. This area is famous for the bright and deep red Hessonite crystals that occur in the rodingites of the Appennine Mountains. This specimen is from an old collection and is from the finding of the late 70ies. There are several bright hessonites up to 0.7 cm in size among clinochlore crystals. Overall size is 6.5 × 4.4 × 3.5 cm. Weight is 130 gr.
